Jack Franks served in the Illinois General Assembly from 1999 to 2017, chairing the State Government Administration while representing the 63rd District. He coordinated efforts to increase Illinois state government transparency and responsiveness to the needs of taxpayers. He served in several capacities in public office, including on the Aging Committee and the Veterans Affairs Committee. Chairing the International Trade and Commerce Committee, he helped promote international investments within Illinois while seeking out new export markets.

Mr. Franks has had articles published in various media venues, from Forbes to Kiplinger’s, on issues facing the state, such as corruption and balancing the budget. A fluent speaker of Portuguese who completed high school studies in Brazil, he has also studied in Jerusalem, London and Beijing.
